Modern Day Miracle ?

I came across this story recently on the Internet about a woman in Annapolis, Maryland who had been given only months to live because of an incurable case of esophageal cancer. Mary Ellen Heibel underwent several rounds of chemotherapy at Johns Hopkins University, but the doctor who administered the treatment said that it had stalled her death, but was not a cure.

After learning from the doctors that there was nothing else that could be done, Ms. Heibel turned to her Catholic faith and prayed to Father Francis Seelos, a well-known priest on the Eastern Seaboard who died in 1867. Not long after beginning her prayers and asking others to pray to Father Seelos in her behalf, Mary's terminal condition began to improve. On a routine visit to the doctor, X-rays indicated that her cancer was no longer there. Below is a short news clip with Mary. What are your thoughts on this story?

  1. These stories are always amazing to me, but it always bothers me when people say that God saved/healed them because that implies that all the people who have fought and lost the battle, were not saved by God. I am sure if I had gone through it, I would say the same thing though. :)
